Under the leadership of originator Lafayette Richmond and founder Charles P. Adams,  an idea became a college to educate the minds of Black students. Under President  R.W.E. Jones and subsequent presidents, Grambling State became a thriving, academically competitive University.

Not one plank would have been laid, not one trowel of mortar or brick stacked or one  mind uplifted without the financial commitment and dedication of many individuals wanting to return something to their community.

We are continuing our founder’s dream. The Grambling University National Alumni  Association (GUNAA) Inc., is continuing the work for the growth and prosperity of  our Alma Mater and improving the quality of life for our students and community.  Of course, in this endeavor, as in all worthwhile undertakings, a group effort is necessary.  We need your help! The National Alumni Association (in 1996) purchased the house of the late President R.W.E. Jones to be used as the Alumni House. The one acre of land and house are two blocks south of the campus and adjacent to an additional 6.99 acres (which we have purchased for future expansion).

The GUNAA needs financial support from alumni and friends to retire the note for the additional 6.99 acres, as well as future expansion.

Please respond by mailing back the attached pledge form. Donations should be made payable to  the GUNAA.

We look forward, with great anticipation, to hearing from you.
